SCC names Joshua Youngblood as Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Joshua Youngblood who helped lead the Shoreline Community College Men's Basketball team to two wins this past week was named SCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for January 28 – February 3.

Youngblood, a sophomore forward who transferred from Highline Community College and played high school basketball at Shadow Ridge High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, scored 61 combined points in two games, had 10 rebounds with 9 assists and 7 steals in wins over Northwest Indian College and Everett Community College. He scored 35 points against EVCC and hit 7 of 11 three point shots.

SCC defeated Northwest Indian College on Wednesday, 103-94 after falling behind by 20 points and revenged an earlier loss to Everett CC, by erasing a 18 point deficient and winning 104 to 90.

SCC improved its record to 4-14 on the season and 2-6 in the region. SCC faces Bellevue College on the road Wednesday night and then comes back to the SCC Gym on Saturday to face Olympic College at 4pm.
