Police catch bank robbers

Chase Bank robbed - robbers caught a short time later

Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 3:36 pm, Shoreline police responded to a bank robbery which had just occurred at the Chase Bank at N 182nd and Midvale.

An alert citizen saw the two suspects leave in the getaway car and hop into a second car with two more suspects. The citizen advised Shoreline Police of the fleeing suspect car and license plate. Four suspects were taken into custody by Seattle Police at 6th and Cherry in Seattle a short time later.

    The Seattle Police made the actual arrest, so they are the ones who "caught" the robber using information provided by the Shoreline Police (give them an assist).

    The headline is inaccurate.
