Shorecrest girls play home game with Marysville-Pilchuck Wednesday

The Shorecrest girls' basketball team plays a home game Monday against Marysville-Pilchuck after a Friday loss at Stanwood.

Shorecrest takes a 2-3 Western Conference record (5-7 overall) into the 7:15 p.m. home game against Marysville-Pilchuck (2-3, 4-7).

In Shorecrest's 53-46 loss to Stanwood, the Scots trailed 17-15 after the first quarter, 34-25 at halftime and 41-34 after three quarters, and couldn't close the gap in the final period. Onyie Chibuogwu led all scorers with 17 points. Sister Uju Chibuogwu added 16.
