Students from Shorecrest and Shorewood have been named to the Washington Music Educators Association All-State and All-Northwest music honor groups (band, choir, or orchestra).
They were chosen by statewide audition, and will perform at gala concerts at the Northwest music educators conference, held in Portland in February 2013.

In addition, the following Shorecrest band students were selected to perform with the PLU Northwest High School Honor Band in January, 2013: Andrew Horton (clarinet), David Miller (percussion), Eric Mulhern (bass clarinet), Molly Kercheval (euphonium), and Ben Weimer (bassoon).
Einstein Middle School students have been named to the WMEA Junior All-State Band and Orchestra, chosen through statewide auditions. They will perform in All-State concerts in Vancouver, Wash., on Saturday, Feb. 16. They are: Benjamin Birchman (string bass), Peter Chou (clarinet), Stephen Johnston (violin), David Lee (percussion), Emma Pirie (French horn), Nora Thomas (clarinet), Fiona Tian (violin), and Jonathan Timbrook (viola).
