Shorewood boys play non-league basketball game at Burlington Saturday

The Shorewood boys' basketball team steps away from Western Conference 3A play Saturday with a non-league game at 2A Burlington-Edison.

The Thunderbirds finished the pre-holiday-break part of their Wesco 3A schedule with a 3-1 record (4-3 overall) after a 52-42 home victory over Glacier Peak.

Shorewood and Burlington meet at 7:15pm Saturday at Burlington-Edison High School in Burlington, with junior-varsity and C-team games at 5:40pm.

In Shorewood’s 52-42 victory over Glacier Peak, Josh Hawkinson scored 16 points Taylor Freeman added 14 and Zane Hopen scored 12 for Shorewood. The Thunderbirds led 16-12 after the first quarter, 23-14 at halftime and 33-23 after three quarters.
