In Shorecrest’s 59-45 victory over Mountlake Terrace, Onyie Chibuogwu led the Scots with 12 points, and Annie Schlachter added 10. Shorecrest led 14-11 after the fourth quarter, 34-15 at halftime and 46-28 after three quarters before coasting to victory. The Shorecrest junior varsity defeated Mountlake Terrace, 55-39,
Shorecrest defeated Meadowdale 43-42 to raise its Wesco 3A record to 2-2 (3-5 overall), moving the Scots into a tie with Meadowdale for third place in the Wesco 3A South. The Scots trailed 8-3 after the first quarter before taking a 24-18 halftime lead and extending the lead to 36-23 after three quarters before holding off Glacier Peak’s 19-7 fourth-quarter run to win by one point. Onyie Chibuogwu led Shorecrest with 12 points. Schlachter added 9. The Scot JVs lost to Meadowdale, 58-41, to drop its Wesco 3A record to 2-2 (4-4 overall).
Shorecrest steps out of Conference play Friday for a game at Ingraham High School in Seattle. The Scots and Rams meet at 5:45 p.m. Friday, with junior varsity teams from the two schools meeting at 4 p.m.
