Shorewood girls soccer team wins at Oak Harbor Thursday

On a beautiful fall night in Oak Harbor Thursday, the visiting Shorewood girls' soccer team defeated Oak Harbor, 8-0.

Shorewood managed to score in the 4th minute on the first of three goals by Salyna McDonald. This was followed in the 15th minute on goal by Emily Hopf. The third was in the 25th minute by Gabby Fortes on an assist by Zoe Vincini. The fourth was at the 30th minute with Salyna's second goal. 4--0 halftime. The second half had Oak Harbor come out with high energy. After competing well for a time, Shorewood scored its fifth goal by Sienna Helland on another assist by Zoe Vincini. The 6th goal in the 60th minute was sent in with little angle by Zoe from the right corner of the penalty box assisted by Gabby Fortes. The 7th was 5 minutes later on Sienna Helland's second goal and the scoring finished in 78th minute by Salyna.

Shorewood's goal was covered by Brianna Huntamer in the first half and Ashley Garay in the second. Oak Harbor used two goalies: Makenzie Perry to start and late in the game switched out with Ayla Muller.

Shorewood is 4-3-3 for the season and 3-3-1 in league and Oak Harbor is 1-8-1 and 0-7.
