Cooking with Chef Janice, Wednesday, October 10th
The Cooking with Chef Janice class is being held on
Wednesday, Oct. 10th, and you will be preparing Holiday ideas. Please reserve your space by
signing up at the front desk. Fee:
Members $5, Non-Members $7.00
PROBUS Invites, October 16th 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Are you interested in what is going on in politics right
now? Dee Pinkerton will be
facilitating an interactive discussion so everyone can join in the
conversation. This is a
non-partisan organization and all are welcome to join in the discussion.
Birthday Celebration, Thursday, October 18th
The Shoreline-LFP Senior Center provides a free lunch for
current members celebrating their birthday. The Birthday Lunch is always a very special meal. In October you will get to enjoy;
Turkey Osso Bucco, mashed potatoes, roasted acorn squash, green antipasto
salad, roll with butter, and Birthday cake. Entertainment, birthday cake and prizes are part of the
fun. Meal starts at 11:45
a.m. Arrive early to assure you will have a seat. A $3.00 donation for seniors 60 and older is
recommended, participants under 60 can enjoy this meal for $6.00.
German Heritage Day Celebration, October 23rd
Are you feeling like enjoying a good old fashioned German
Meal? Well the Shoreline-Lake
Forest Park Senior Center chef will be serving up a very tasty meal of: Roast
Pork w/caraway and beer, hot potatoes w/bacon, pikanter moehrensalat (carrot
salad), red cabbage – rotkraut (with apple & spices) brot (pretzel roll)
and apple strudel.
Special Spooky Halloween Celebration, October 31st
What are you doing on Halloween day? Instead of going to Trick or Treating,
come to the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center and join the fun while
enjoying a special ghoulish meal: Cauldron
coffee, swamp soup, spooky spaghetti with eyeballs, graveyard grass with
tombstone topping, headless pumpkin pie.
Come in a costume and maybe win a prize.
