Dina O'Leary presents award to Joseph Irons
The Shoreline Breakfast Rotary Club recognized Irons Brothers Construction as the recipient of the 2011-2012 "Service Above Self" Vocational Award.

"Our Club is excited to recognize their commitment to quality service, high ethical standards, and for their distinguished service to the community," states Dina O'Leary, Immediate Past President of the Shoreline Breakfast Rotary Club, who provided Joseph Irons, President of Irons Brothers Construction, with the award.

"It is an honor to receive Shoreline Breakfast Rotary Club's Award. I am very proud to have Rotary recognize the community involvement, dedication and hard work of my team," states Joseph Irons.

In addition to being an industry leader, Irons Brothers Construction places a high value on community service. Earlier this year, Irons Brothers Construction built a free wheelchair-access ramp for a low-income homeowner in Shoreline. This volunteer service is part of the Master Builders Care Foundation's Rampathon Program.

Joseph Irons has also been an active and involved member of Shoreline as a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteer, as well as being a member of his local neighborhood's traffic safety program. His company is also an active member of the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce.

Recipients of the award must be a local community business or organization that has exemplified outstanding professional achievement, maintained high ethical standards, and demonstrated "service above self."

Rotary is a volunteer organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, and help to build goodwill and peace in the world. There are approximately 1.2 million Rotary club members belonging to 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.

There are four Rotary clubs in our area: Shoreline Breakfast Rotary, Shoreline (Lunch) Rotary, Rain City Rotary, and Lake Forest Park Rotary.
