Practices being held in the new Shorecrest Gym, first game September 10

During the public comment for the school modernization bonds, a high school student from Shorecrest told the Shoreline City Council that she knew it was too late for her, but she just wanted her little brother and sister to play in a gym where the roof didn't leak.

She got her wish. Here's a photo taken inside the new Shorecrest gym. New bleachers and the beautiful maple floor in the new gymnasium make the space shine. 

The volleyball team began practicing in the new facility last week. The first athletic contests will be held at 7 pm Monday, September 10 with a volleyball match between Shorecrest and Marysville-Pilchuck.
