Obituaries are condensed biographies of people's lives, written by the people who loved them. Like a memorial service, they tell us things we may not have known about the person, and may leave us wishing we had known them better.

Annabelle Nabors Buchanan aged 88 Long-time Shoreline resident, she worked 25 years for The Daily Racing Form. Survived by her husband of 68 years, Fred, five children and extended family.

Michael Dennis Kemp 1950-2012 Spent most of his life in Lake Forest Park, attended Shorecrest High School. Lived in a mountain cabin near Ronald, WA, and became adept at surviving in winters with 7 foot snowdrifts with a snowmobile as his only transportation.
Ronald L. Meicho 1956-2012 Passed away unexpectedly while on a camping/canoeing adventure with his children. Graduated from Shoreline High School. Loved building and sailing model boats.
Eric Neil Buckmaster 1970-2012 In a fatal ATV accident while on vacation in Idaho. Professionally, he was a Chief Engineer for major buildings. In private life he was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, motorsports, target shooting, and ran marathons, participated in triathlons, and endurance bicycle races.
Lora Pishue Wilson 1949-2012 Lived in Shoreline with her husband and daughter since 1986. Active in Daughters of the Nile and Rainbow for Girls. Teacher in Mukilteo School District.
Charles E. Young 1932-2012 Lake Forest Park resident had a degree in theology, played trumpet in a band to pay for school. Career as master cabinetmaker, but was proficient in landscape design and computer engineering.
Donald Edward Whitney 1948-2012 Passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, leaving behind his wife and their 11 year old son. Services at Ronald Methodist Church in Shoreline.
Stella Jeanette Fitzgerald Roberts 1935-2012 Graduate of Shoreline Community College with an Associate degree in Paralegal in 1987.
Ronald James Stelzner 1958-2012 Graduated from Shorecrest High School in 1976. Survived by parents in Lake Forest Park.
Edith Pope Patten Obituary 1923-2012 As a child, caught rattlesnakes by hand on desert field trips. A childhood of travel "gave her a sense of independence and a love of the wilderness." Helped start the Seattle Association for Childbirth Education, was one of the first Head Start teachers in Seattle.
Had a stroke in 1969. It took years to regain speak and movement, but she never missed a dance class. Services at Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church.
