Picnic Story Times

Ages 3 to 6 and families.
Bring your lunch and enjoy dreamy stories, songs and other fun activities.

Rock Nocturnal Concert
Wednesday, July 11, 3pm
Held on Third Place Commons Stage.
Presented by Eric Ode.
Ages 5 and older with adult.
Join this children’s author and award-winning songwriter for a high-participation nighttime celebration featuring puppets and poetry, songs and silliness.

Batty Over Bats Science Workshop
Thursday, July 12, 4pm
Presented by Nature Vision.
Ages 4 and older with adult.
Learn the real story of bats and why these creatures of the night are really important to our healthy ecosystem.

Travel through the Night Science Workshop
Thursday, July 19, 4pm
Presented by Pacific Science Center-Science On Wheels.
Ages 4 and older with adult.
Take a trip to outer space by listening to stories from diverse cultures throughout the world. Build your own constellation with toothpicks and marshmallows.

Where the Wild Things Are Theatre Workshop
Wednesday, July 25, 3pm
Presented by Youth Theatre Northwest.
Ages 3 and older with adult.
It’s bedtime for Max, but he’s not ready to go to sleep. And neither will you be when you sail with him on a fantastic voyage to where the wild things are. Explore Max’s journey using the five senses and dramatic play. Let the wild rumpus begin!

Learn to make an illustrated notebook for recording your experiences this summer. Instructor Molly Hashimoto uses objects from nature to inspire your creativity.
