Einstein 8th grade boys win Sno-King Middle School Track championships

The Einstein 8th-grade boys’ track team won the 10-team Sno-King Middle School Track chapionships at Shoreline Stadium June 5. The Einstein 8th-grade girls, 7th-grade boys and 7th-grade girls all finished third in their divisions of the meet.

The Kellogg 8th grade girls finished second behind Alderwood Middle School. The Kellogg 8th-grade boys finished third behind Einstein and Harbour Pointe of Mukilteo; the Kellogg 7th-grade girls finished fourth behind Harbour Pointe, Brier Terrace and Einstein; and the Kellogg 7th-grade boys finished sixth in the meet involving the four middle schools from the Mukilteo School District, the four from the Edmonds District and the two from the Shoreline District.

Individual winners included Chris Brandt of Einstein in the 7th-grade girls’ 100 and 200 meters, Wurrie Njadoe of Kellogg in the 8th-grade girls’ 100 meters, high jump and long jump, Jarren Johnson of Einstein in the 8th-grade boys’ 200 meters, Marrci Johnson of Einstein in the 7th-grade girls’ discus throw, Sophia Viviano of Kellogg in the 8th-grade girls’ 100, Adam Primitivo of Einstein in the 7th-grade boys’ 100, Uju Chibuogwu of Kellogg in the 8th-grade girls’ shot put, the Einstein 7th-grade boys’ 4x200m relay team and the Einstein 8th-grade boys’ and girls’ 4x100. 4x200- and 4x400-meter relay teams.
