Shorewood softball

The Shorewood softball team followed an 11-4 home loss to first-place Everett Monday with a Tuesday game at Mountlake Terrace, a 4 p.m. Wednesday game at Lynnwood and a 6 p.m. Friday home game with Shorecrest.

Shorewood took a 3-7 Western Conference 3A division record (3-11 overall into the Tuesday game at Mountlake Terrace. 

That record put the Thunderbirds one game behind Shorecrest, which had a 4-6 Wesco 3A record (8-6 overall) going into the Scots' Tuesday game.  

Shorecrest leads Shorewood for the sixth and final Wesco berth in the Northwest District 3A tournament with six games left before the tournament begins May 15.

In the Monday 11-4 loss at Everett, Melissa Eik hit 2 for 4, with a double; Lauren Thompson hit 2 for 4; and Stephanie Volbrecht hit 2 for 4.
