Shorewood boys first, Shorecrest girls second after first day of Wesco 3A track meet Wednesday at Shoreline Stadium

The Western Conference 3A division track championships concluded Friday at Shoreline Stadium, with the Shorewood boys leading the team standings after finals Wednesday in five of the 15 events and the Shorecrest girls second after four of the 16 events.

Finals in 22 events were Friday, many in events that had qualifying rounds Wednesday.

Shorewood led the first-day boys’ standings with Shorecrest sixth among the nine teams. Shorecrest was second in the girls’ standings behind Glacier Peak, with Shorecrest fourth.

Last week, the Shorecrest girls defeated Shorewood, King’s and Shoreline Christian in the Shoreline City meet at King’s High School, and the King’s boys defeated Shorewood, Shorecrest and Shoreline Christian.
