Shorewood baseball team finishes regular season with 8-3 home loss to Meadowdale Tuesday

The Shorewood baseball team finished its regular season Tuesday with an 8-3 home loss to Western Conference 3A division champion Meadowdale, a loss that gave Meadowdale a two-game sweep over the Thunderbirds.


The Thunderbirds take an 8-8 Wesco 3A record (9-11 overall) into Northwest-District-3A-tournament play beginning Saturday.

Shorewood goes into the tournament as the No. 5 Wesco team and will play at the home of Wesco 3A No. 2 Glacier Peak at 3:30 p.m. Saturday

In Shorewood’s 8-3 home loss to Meadowdale Tuesday, Kory Longacre had a double and two RBI for Shorewood. Christian Heideger also hit a double for the Thunderbirds

The Shorewood junior varsity had a scheduled game at Meadowdale Thursday and a season-ending game at Everett Wednesday.

Saturday's game is at 3pm (not 3:30).
