Friday, May 11, 2012

The Northshore/Shoreline Community Network and the C.A.R.E. Team (Cultural Awareness Resources and Education) are pleased to offer another very timely Cultural Competency event for educators, service providers and interested community members.

June 12, 2012, 4:30 - 6:00 p.m., Shoreline City Hall, 17500 Midvale Ave. N., Shoreline 98133

What do you know about LGBT issues?

Join us for a world cafe conversation about issues facing the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender community.

There will be a screening of "What Do You Know?", an award-winning professional development film featuring interviews with young students discussing what they know about gay men and lesbians.  Tracy Flynn, Welcoming Schools Regional Consultant, will facilitate the world cafe discussion following the screening.

This event is free of charge, but space is limited.  Please make your reservation here.
