Two years after their grand opening, the Ballinger Community Garden is well established. Going into this growing season, all plots have been spoken for and the gardeners look forward to a great growing season.

Ballinger Neighborhood Association (BALNA) secretary Patty Dooley reports that the Wednesday night potlucks at the garden will start up as soon as it warms up a bit.

The Garden, one of the first community gardens in Shoreline, was created by an affiliation of BALNA, Diggin' Shoreline, and other volunteers. It was designed and set up on a weedy hillside behind the Aldercrest School by those groups, with help from Rotary groups and other community volunteers.
