The Bellevue College Lady Bulldogs hit 8 homeruns on the day as BC swept the Lady Dolphin Softball Team at Shoreview Park on Tuesday. BC hit 4 homeruns in each game.
In the first game. BC stuck for 3 runs in the first inning on a 3 run homerun and another run in 3rd before putting SCC away in the top of 7th inning when they hit 3 homeruns for a 5 run inning. SCC scored two runs in the bottom of 7th but SCC struggled offensively the whole game, managing only 3 hits and only two runners to second base before the bottom of 7th.
In the second game, Bellevue exploded for 12 runs in the first three innings, 6 in the first inning while hitting 4 homeruns over that 3 inning span. SCC tried to battle with BC, scoring 5 runs themselves in the first two innings but could not keep the offensive pace up. Alia Kelly came in to shutout BC over the final four innings but the damage had already been done.
Vallen Brewer and Alia Kelly hit doubles for SCC and Nikki Reyling hit a homerun but the BC relief pitcher came in to hold SCC to only 1 run over the final 5 innings. Reyling and Kelly had 2 hits each for the Lady Dolphins.
SCC is now 8-9-2 on the season, 3-3 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC plays host to Skagit Valley College on Friday at 1:00 PM at the Shoreview Park field. Bellevue is 19-2 overall and 6-0 in the region. The Bulldogs are ranked 4th in the NWAACC.
