The Shorecrest softball team takes a 3-0 non-league record into a week without games before a Western Conference 3A home game against Everett Monday after victories over Lake Washington, Mariner and Ferndale.
Shorecrest defeated Ferndale of the Northwest Conference 3A division, 10-0, Saturday, in a game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule. Winning pitcher Amanda Eshelman helped on offense with 2 hits and 4 RBI, Jeanna Berg had 4 hits, including a triple, and 3 RBI in 4 at bats, and Callie Andersen had four hits in 4 at bats.
Shorecrest defeated Mariner of the Wesco 4A South Friday, 19-1, in a home game shortened to 4 1/2 innings by the mercy rule. The Scots scored 5, 5, 4 and 5 runs in the first four innings.
Eshelman, again the winning pitcher, had 2 RBI on a double and a home run in two at bats. Anisa Gomez had 3 hits and 4 RBI in 3 at bats, Alissa Kaufhold had 3 hits and 4 RBI in 4 at bats, and Olivia Nolan had 2 hits and 4 RBI in 4 at bats.
Shorecrest defeated Lake Washington of the Kingco Conference 4A division Tuesday.
