They've done it again - the Shorecrest Band, pipers, and dancers, marched in the International Band competition in the city of Limerick, County Limerick, the third largest city in Ireland, on Sunday, March 18, the day after marching in two St. Patrick's Day parades.

They were named the Best International Band and had their photo on the front page of one of the local papers, The Limerick Leader.

"A TOUCH of spring weather helped to bring a crowd of more than 40,000 people into the city this Sunday for the International Band Championship.
"And they were treated to one of the largest parades in recent years, as 20 bands from as far afield as the USA and Russia marched down O'Connell Street."
...
"Participation in the International Band Parade - now in its 42nd year - is significantly up on previous years, with more than 1,000 musicians taking part this year."

They won the title of Best Youth Band in the Dublin parade, an award they also won in 2008, as they marched through streets lined with literally millions of people and a parade route so narrow they sometimes had to angle the team banner to get it through.

In their second parade of the day Saturday, they marched in The Celbridge Parade in County Kildare. There's no word of any awards, but their picture is on the parade webpage (on the upper left).
