SCC Drama presents "Big Love"

7:30 – 9pm, Friday, March 9-10 and March 14-17, and 2pm, March 11, Campus Theater, 1600 Building

Big Love is Charles Mee’s raucous modern interpretation of one of the first plays ever performed in the Western world - Aeschylus’ The Suppliant Women.

Starting from the same premise as Aeschylus – 50 sisters flee the altar on their wedding day, sail to Italy, and demand protection from their jilted fiancées – Mee’s version bursts into the contemporary world in a spirited exploration of modern life, language, and love.

Filled with music, movement, and energy, this take on gender, marriage, and the joy, fear, humor, and hurt tied up in the thing called love features a talented ensemble cast of Shoreline students from departments across campus.
