Reduced Shakespeare Company presents the complete history of sports
at Edmonds Center for the Arts

Laugh your cleats off with Reduced Shakespeare Companys’ fast-paced sports satire The Complete World of Sports (abridged) at Edmonds Center for the Arts on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 7:30PM. Tickets are available online at www.ec4arts.org or by phone at 425-275-9595. Ticket prices range from $35-$40, $15 for youth. Additional service charges may apply.

Best known for their original The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), Reduced Shakespeare Company (RSC) is a three-man comedy troupe that reduces large, complicated subjects into short, sharp comedies.

The “bad boys of abridgement” have created seven stage shows, two television specials, and numerous radio pieces, all of which have been performed, seen or heard around the world since 1981. They have played in venues such as the White House, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center and many more. Their first three stage shows were London’s longest-running comedies, and they had more shows playing in the West End than Andrew Lloyd Webber.

RSC compressed the first five seasons of Lost into a ten-minute film called Lost Reduced, and have been a category on Jeopardy. Unveiled in 2010, The Complete World of Sports (abridged) reduces every sport ever played on any continent in the entire history of the world (yes, even Quidditch) into one witty comedy. It is a tour-de-farce of vaudevillian physical comedy that is both merciless and affectionate.

Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA), is a non-profit performing arts facility located in picturesque downtown Edmonds, Washington. Located in the historic original Edmonds High School building, ECA was remodeled and opened in October 2006 to be a cultural resource for the Puget Sound region through performing arts presentations, community partnerships and education outreach programs.
