Shorecrest, Shorewood girls meet Thursday at Shorecrest after Shorecrest Tuesday victory, Shorewood loss

The Shorecrest and Shorewood girls’ basketball teams meet Thursday at Shorecrest after Shorecrest won a home game over Everett Tuesday and Shorewood lost a Meadowdale.
Shorecrest and Shorewood meet at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Shorecrest High School, with junior varsity teams from the two schools playing at 5:40.
Shorecrest defeated Shorewood, 67-54, when the two teams met at Shorewood Jan. 21.
Shorecrest comes into the Thursday game with an 11-3 Western Conference 3A division record (14-4 overall) after ending a two-game losing streak with a 43-19 victory over Everett Tuesday, and Shorewood has a 7-7 Wesco 3A record (8-10 overall) after a 67-47 loss to Meadowdale Tuesday.
In Shorecrest’s 43-19 victory over Everett, the Scots outscored Everett in every quarter and held the Seagulls to 6 points or fewer in each period. Shorewood led 15-4 after the first quarter, 28-10 at halftime and 36-13 after three quarters before outscoring the gulls 7-6 in the final period. Bri Lasconia led Shorecrest with 19 points.
In Shorewood’s 67-47 loss to Meadowdale, Meadowdale led 20-9 after the first quarter, 34-21 at halftime and 51-33 after three quarters before extending the lead slightly in the final period. Kassie Rasmussen led the Thunderbirds with 15 points, followed by Masha Shtikel with 14.
