Shorewood wrestlers prepare for Lynnwood Thursday, tournament Saturday after close home loss to Meadowdale Tuesday

The Shorewood wrestling team prepares for a match at Lynnwood Thursday and to join Shorecrest as hosts for a tournament at Shorewood Saturday after the Thunderbirds lost a close home match to Meadowdale Tuesday, 38-30.

The Tuesday match was still in doubt as the Mavericks held a slim 33-30 lead going into the deciding 138-pound weight class.

Shorewood takes a 1-2 Wesco 3A record (6-4 overall) into the 7 p.m. Thursday match at Lynnwood. Junior varsity teams from the two schools meet at 5:45.

The Saturday tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. at Shorewood High School for both varsity and JV wrestlers.
