Shorewood swimmers take 102-81 victory over Shorecrest Thursday

The Shorewood swimming and diving team takes a 102-81 victory over Shorecrest Thursday at Shoreline Pool into its final dual meet of the season against Kamiak Tuesday at Shoreline Pool.

The Shorecrest 200-yard freestyle relay team reached the state qualifying standard in the meet against Shorewood. Carter Osborne of Shorecrest swam on the qualifying relay team, won the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke, and swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay team.

Anders Blomso of Shorewood won both the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle races.

Shorecrest’s loss to Shorewood finished the Scots’ dual-meet season with a 9-2 record.

Shorewood takes a 9-3 dual meet record into the home meet with Kamiak.

Shorecrest and Shorewood now prepare for the Northwest District 3A championships Feb. 10-11 at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.

Swimmers who haven’t met district-qualifying times compete in the Last-Chance Invitational Friday, Feb. 3, at Shoreline Pool.

Divers from the two schools compete Saturday, Jan. 28 and Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Mariner HS.
