The Shorecrest girls’ basketball team lost its first Wesco 3A game of the season to Everett, 63-50, Wednesday, going into a Friday game at league-leading Glacier Peak.
The loss at Everett dropped Shorecrest’s Wesco 3A record to 5-1 (8-2 overall) before the Friday game at Glacier Peak, which took a 7-0 Wesco 3A record (10-1 overall) into the Friday game at Glacier Peak.
Shorecrest’s overall record had been 8-0 before a late December loss to 4A Edmonds-Woodway.
In Shorecrest’s 63-50 loss at Everett, the Scots trailed 13-7 after the first quarter, 32-17 at halftime and 50-37 after three quarters. Senior Bri Lasconia led Shorecrest with 12 points, followed by Onyie Chibuogwu and Janie Uppinghouse with 10 each and Lindsey Shattuck with 8.
Going into the Friday game at Glacier Peak, Lasconia led the Scots in season scoring with 139 points in 10 games.
Shorecrest plays a home game with Oak Harbor Wednesday, Jan. 11.
