LFP - warning of continuing problems from rain and wind

Sunday, January 22, 2012

LFP Emergency Management has warned that continuing rain and wind gusts may create problems for area residents.

An urban and small stream flood watch is in effect for all of western Washington. Streams in LFP may flood, winds and rain saturated ground increase the risk of falling trees and associated wires, and there is an increased threat of landslides on steep slopes.

Residents are advised to keep storm drains clear of ice, snow, and debris near homes. All citizens are asked to assist by checking and clearing street drains.

Residents should be prepared for power outages.
