Shorewood boys take 6-1 record into holiday break following 60-51 home victory over Glacier Peak Thursday

The Shorewood boys’ basketball team takes a 6-1 overall record (5-1 Wesco 3A) into its holiday break after a 60-51 victory over Glacier Peak Thursday.
Shorewood returns to play in a tournament in Arizona, Tuesday through Thursday, December 27-29, 2011 before returning to Wesco 3A play January 3. 2012 with a game at Meadowdale.
In Shorewood’s 60-51 home victory over Glacier Peak, the Thunderbirds trailed 17-14 after the first quarter but took a 27-22 lead at halftime, 44-37 after three quarters and 60-51 at the end.
Junior center Josh Hawkinson led the Thunderbirds with 18 points.
Hawkinson has scored 97 points in five games for an average of 19.4 points per game,
