Shorecrest, Shorewood swimming teams prepare for Tuesday meets after season-opening victories

The Shorecrest and Shorewood boys’ swimming teams both go into their Tuesday meets after season-opening victories Thursday, December 1.

Shorewood plays host to Bainbridge at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Shoreline Pool after victories over Lynnwood and Meadowdale Thursday at Lynnwood pool, in which the Thunderbirds won every event over Meadowdale and 10 of the 11 events over Lynnwood. The meet had no diving competition.

Shorecrest meets Cascade at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Park Pool in Everett after the Wesco 3A Scots won a home meet Thursday over Mariner of the Wesco 4A South, 134-51, with Shorecrest winning all 12 events. Carter Osborne of Shorecrest met the State 3A qualifying standard in the 200-yard freestyle and also won the 100 backstroke and swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team.
