SCC Women's Basketball routs South Puget Sound CC

The Lady Dolphin Basketball Team beat South Puget Sound Community College on Saturday afternoon in the SCC gym 69-39 as SCC broke open a close game in the second half to cruise to a 30 point win.

SCC led 25-22 at half, but used a full court press in the second half to force an up tempo pace that wore down the Lady Clippers who only dressed seven players for the game. SCC outscored SPS 44 to 17 in the second half.

Kaleigh Phillips lead SCC with 18 points and 9 rebounds while Tess Cathey scored 14 including 4 from 8 from three point range and Gnanamani Hooyman added 10 points. SCC out rebounded SPSCC 56 to 42 and outscored the Clippers 21 to 3 from three point range.

SCC is now 2-1 on the season and play Northwest Indian College on Thursday at the SCC Gym at 7:00 PM. South Puget Sound drops to 1-4 on the season.
