Shoreline City Council incumbents Chris Eggen and Doris McConnell and newcomer Jesse Salomon have been certified as winners in the November 8 general election.
Final certified results showed Salomon with 50.22 percent of the final vote count to 49.42 percent for opponent Robin McClelland.
Of the 18,141 ballots counted from the City of Shoreline, 7,534 had votes for Salomon, 7,415 had votes for McClelland, 54 had write-in votes and 3,138 left the position blank.
The margin between the candidates remained outside the range for a mandatory recount. With Salomon and McClelland having a total of 14,959 votes, a margin of 74 votes or fewer would have put them within the 0.5 percent margin for a mandatory recount.
Eggen had 70.22 percent to 29.42 percent for challenger William Hubbell. Eggen had 10,606 votes to 4,400 for Hubbell, with 54 write-in votes and 3,081 blank ballots.
McConnell had 60.81 percent to 38.77 percent for former Councilwoman Janet Way. McConnell had 9,245 votes to 5,894 for Way, with 64 write-in votes and 2,938 blank ballots.
Salomon and McClelland were seeking the position that Councilman Terry Scott now holds. Salomon will take office at the first Council meeting in January.
Voter turnout in the City of Shoreline was 54.27 percent, compared to a countywide turnout of 52.11 percent and a statewide turnout of 52.94 percent.
