WeatherWatcher: Special advisory

Wednesday, November 2, 2011

The national weather service of Seattle has issued a special weather statement for the greater Seattle area including Shoreline and Lake Forest Park.

Late tonight and Wednesday morning sub freezing temperatures and patchy dense fog will cause patches of ice and frost, especially on overpasses.

Temperatures may drop to the low 30's or upper 20's tonight in places especially away from water.

Tuesday morning's low at my weather station was 34 degrees F. It would be good to get any exterior pipes wrapped up or covered and winterize your homes and vehicles. Cold rain and mountain snow will arrive Wednesday by afternoon.

Colder air is expected to move in later this weekend with highs barely passing the mid 40's.
