Shoreline Veterans' Day Event, Friday, November 11, 2-4pm

The Second Annual SHORELINE VETERANS DAY EVENT, presented by the Shoreline Veterans Association will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011. It will take place at the Shoreline City Hall, 17500 Midvale Ave N, from 2 to 4pm.
A short program will be held featuring a senior advisor of Senator Murray's staff as Keynote Speaker, music by the Shorecrest HS Chansons Choir, and the recognition of several veterans.
The purpose of the event is to acknowledge the service provided to our country by all members of the armed forces throughout our history and to recognize their sacrifices, great and small.
The role played by the Shoreline Community College, American Legion and others will also be presented. In the coming year the Shoreline Veterans Association plans to expand its activities, adding one or more additional patriotic activities. Shoreline citizens are invited to participate at any level
All Shoreline Veterans of any era, their family, friends and neighbors are invited to attend. After the program refreshments will be provided in the City Hall Lobby allowing ample time for conversation.
