Shorecrest girls' soccer team scheduled to play at Camas Tuesday in first round of State playoffs

The Shorecrest girls’ soccer team was scheduled to meet Camas at Camas High School in Southwest Washington in the first round of the State 3A playoffs Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Shorecrest took a 14-4-1 record into the meeting with Camas (13-3-1) in the single-elimination tournament.

The Shorecrest-Camas winner will play Saturday, Nov. 12, against the winner of a Tuesday game at Seattle Memorial Stadium between Seattle Prep (16-0-2) and Timberline (8-6-2) from Lacey, north of Olympia.

The winner of the Saturday game advances to the State semifinals and finals Nov. 18-19 at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.

Camas came into the tournament after defeating Enumclaw 3-0 Saturday in the West Central/Southwest bi-district tournament.

Camas is eighth among State 3A teams in the Seattle Times girls' soccer rankings, with Seattle Prep second.

Everett, which defeated Shorecrest in the Northwest District semifinals, ranked fourth. Meadowdale, which defeated Everett in the District finals, ranked fifth.
