The Shorecrest girls’ soccer team plays for a berth in the State 3A playoffs when the Scots meet Mount Vernon at Shoreline Stadium Thursday at 5:30 p.m. for third place in the Northwest District 3A tournament.
The Shorecrest girls’ soccer team plays for a berth in the State 3A playoffs when the Scots meet Mount Vernon at Shoreline Stadium Thursday at 5:30 p.m. for third place in the Northwest District 3A tournament.
The third-place game will be followed at 7:30 by the District championship game between Everett and Meadowdale, who both will advance to State play as the District’s No. 1 and No. 2 teams.
Everett reached the championship game with a 2-0 semifinal victory over Shorecrest Monday at Everett Memorial Stadium. Meadowdale defeated Mount Vernon 1-0 in a semifinal game at Edmonds Stadium Monday. Shorecrest takes a 13-4-1 record into the meeting with Mount Vernon (15-2-1).
Mount Vernon won the Northwest 3A-2A-1A Conference with a 13-0 record and defeated Glacier Peak, 2-1, in the first round of District play before losing to Meadowdale.
The Shorecrest/Mount Vernon winner will open State play Wednesday, November 9, against the No. 1 team from the combined West Central/Southwest District tournament.
