SCC Women's Soccer Beats Edmonds CC, Forces Play-In Game On Monday

The Lady Dolphin Soccer Team beat Edmonds CC on Saturday, 2-1 at Dolphin Field, to force a play-in game to the NWAACC Playoffs on Monday at Shoreline Stadium at 5:00 PM. SCC and Edmonds are tied for the third and final playoff spot in the NWAACC Northern Region and will play an extra game to determine who advances to the NWAACC playoffs on Wednesday.

Edmonds scored first on Saturday with a goal at the 21 minute mark by Mady Schoonover. SCC tied the match in the 45th minute (just before halftime) on a goal by Kendra Holley from an assistant by Sara Gilmore.

SCC scored to open the second half at the 47 minute mark with a goal by Jenny Voss. SCC kept Edmonds scoreless the rest of the way.

If SCC wins the match on Monday, they will travel to Spokane on Wednesday to play the Community College of Spokane in the first round of the NWAACC Soccer Playoffs.

SCC is 8-6-5 overall and 8-5-3 in the region. Edmonds falls to 12-7-3 overall and 8-5-3 in the region.
