Bob Chute
With their 3 daughters, Bob and Oleta Chute moved to the Ridgecrest Neighborhood in 1957. Both were involved with Shoreline Schools and were instrumental in the formation, organization and running of the original Ridgecrest Neighborhood. Thanks to their efforts and that of others, the Ridgecrest Neighborhood Association had a Club House, tennis courts, picnic grounds and a playfield with a restroom.

A supporting wife and mother, Oleta was a long-time employee of Anderson House. Prior to his retirement, Bob’s professional background included US Air Force electronics, applied physics and electrical engineering instrumentation and satellite tracking system design. He also served as a Commissioner for the Shoreline Water District for many years.

Bob passed away on September 13, 2011. He was preceded in death by Oleta on January 29, 2006. Prior to her passing, Oleta made 2 requests: “Take care of Bobby” and “Throw me a party.”

You are invited to join family, friends and the community in the celebration of Bob and Oleta’s lives on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Green Acres Park Club House, 23825 15th Ave SE, Bothell, WA 98021.

I would like to offer my condolences to the family of Bob and Oleta Chute.
What an impressive legacy of community involvement they've had. It is a great example for all of us in our community.

I had the pleasure of knowing Bob and saw him at many venues, including the Water District, poles, and 32nd District Democrats. He believed in supporting the best policies for the public interest.

I will miss him.
