In a match that had overtime written all over it, the Edmonds Community College Lady Tritons stunned Shoreline CC in the final minute of regulation to score and win the "Play-In" game to the NWAACC Soccer Playoffs at the Shoreline Stadium.

In a match that had chances for both teams to score early on, the final minutes seemed to be heading to overtime as neither team could mount much pressure, but ECC had a solid shot on goal, deflected away by SCC goal-keeper Lauren Schoonover, but an unmarked ECC player, was in perfect position to put the deflection away and did.

SCC had less than 1 minute to tie it and could not muster any offense against a stacked Edmonds defense.

SCC finished the season 8-7-5 and 4th in the NWAACC Northern Region in the first season for Head Coach Aaron Howe. This will be the first time 7 years the Lady Dolphins have not qualified for postseason play. SCC had forced the “Play-In” game on Saturday by beating Edmonds 2-1 on their campus home field. SCC and ECC finished 1-1-1 for the season against each other. Edmonds advances to play the Community College of Spokane on Wednesday in Spokane at 1:00 pm in the first round of the NWAACC Women’s Soccer Playoffs. ECC is 13-7-3 overall.
