The Lady Dolphin Soccer Team suffered a set-back in their drive for the NWAACC playoffs on Saturday, dropping a 3-1 game at home against Whatcom Community College. SCC had moved into 1st place in the NWAACC Northern Region last Saturday, when they defeated Everett Community College at Everett, but then dropped a game at Green River Community College on Wednesday at Green River 3-0 and now Whatcom today at home.

Jenny Voss scored for SCC to tie the match about halfway through the second half. Shoreline dominated the match at times but could not score again, and WCC scored two late goals to win the game.

SCC is now 5-4-1 in the Northern Region and 5-5-3 overall. SCC is in 4th place in the region and the top three teams make the NWAACC playoffs at the end of the season. Whatcom is now 4-4-2 in the region, 5-4-3 overall. Depending on the result between Edmonds CC and Green River later this evening, SCC will could be 1, 2, or 3 points out of 3rd place.
