Pianist Charles Enlow in Alma de España for SCC Piano Series

Shoreline Community College kicks off its 2011-12 Piano Series at 3 pm, Sunday, October 23, 2011 with Alma de España (Spanish Soul) in the Campus Theater.

The evening will offer a sampling of the exciting and colorful classical repertoire from the exotic and historical region of Iberia. 

Pianist Dr. Charles Enlow will perform works by Spanish artists, Scarlatti, Granados, Turina, Mompou and Falla that depict the intrinsic elements of song and dance within Spanish classical music. Special guest, 

Cecilia Archuletta will perform on violin. Enlow and Archuletta will perform together music by the Catalan composer, Eduardo Toldra.


Pianist Dr. Charles Enlow has been richly praised throughout the United States and in Europe for his sensitive and virtuosic recital performances. In the Pacific Northwest, he has appeared frequently as a solo recitalist and as a collaborator with vocalists and chamber music ensembles. 


General admission is $15; $10 for students, seniors and SCC faculty and staff; and $4 for SCC students with college ID. Tickets can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets or at 800-838-3006. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.

Shoreline Community College is located at 16101 Greenwood Avenue North, just west of Aurora Avenue and north of Seattle city limits. The theater is on the west side of campus and parking and parking meter stations are nearby.
