Meet the Candidates: Shoreline Fire Commissioner Pos 1: Kim Fischer

Kim Fischer |
I work in Shoreline Schools, and volunteer on the CERT team.
I am deeply aware of the dedication and commitment a career in public safety requires. I am honored and grateful for the endorsement of the Shoreline Firefighters Union 1760 in this campaign.
Serving as a Fire Commissioner is the ultimate way to support our firefighter and paramedics, and to contribute to health, safety, fire protection and emergency management in our community.
I will work hard to assure Shoreline Fire has the resources it needs to protect and respond in our community, and to plan for growth and increased demand for service.
I will place special emphasis on how Fire and EMS interfaces with the City of Shoreline in a major disaster.
As commissioner, I will make sure levy funding is spent efficiently to support Shoreline Fire in maintaining a responsible and sustainable level of service to our community.

At the candidates forum at Richmond Beach, one of the biggest surprises was the impressive performance by Kim Fischer. She spoke directly to the point and articulated a clear vision for keeping the Shoreline Fire District on track.
She's my candidate for Fire Commissioner! What a breath of fresh air!
Why do we need sooooo many Fire Commisioners in Shoreline?? 7 for a City this size. How many does Seattle have?
