Meet the Candidates: Shoreline City Council Pos 2 : Chris Eggen

On the City Council, I have insisted on fiscally responsible budgets and policies that encourage local businesses to flourish and provide jobs and tax revenues. I championed parks and responsible environmental policies. I strongly supported increasing citizen participation in City decision-making. I advocated for transit and roads policies that make sense for Shoreline residents and worked on regional committees to ensure light rail comes to Shoreline. I supported social services for seniors, veterans, and children in need. Finally, I opposed development at Point Wells and fought to limit any impact on Richmond Beach and other Shoreline residents.

I am interested in policies that are practical, not ideological. I do the hard work required to analyze issues and decide on the best policies to address problems, and then I am persistent and inventive in pursuing solutions that I think benefit the citizens of Shoreline.
