Chuck Paulsen, LFP City Council Pos 4 |
It’s tempting to opt for simple solutions in these difficult economic times. Cut services to beyond basic survival levels and hold off any initiatives to preserve or enhance our quality of life. I don’t agree with that approach, we must work harder to hold on to the best of what we have, and shape our future in positive directions.
My Priorities are:
- Keeping our neighborhood and streets safe. Our city’s low crime rate and quick response times are compelling arguments to keep our own police.
- Preserving our natural environment. With our city’s natural setting, we need to plan effectively to preserve its unique green infrastructure.
- Maintaining a responsible fiscal budget. It is clear that citizens do not want a property tax levy lid lift as a way to balance our budget. We need to work together to find solutions that work for these economic times.
