Letter to the Editor: Robin McClelland has been rated "Outstanding"

To the Editor:
Robin McClelland has been rated OUTSTANDING by the Municipal League. She has served this community as a Planning Commissioner by appointment from the elected City Council. Her credentials are impeccable.
Where she lives is immaterial. Abe Lincoln was born in a log cabin.

Muni League ratings do not include any assessment of a candidate's match-up with community concerns.
Having been a Shoreline planning commissioner, Robin has a public record on land use decisions. It seems pretty clear that she tends to favor developers over the impacts on neighborhoods and the environment.
Most notably, Robin supported the Point Wells project until it became an issue in this campaign because of the huge negative impact it would have on our city. The record is clear on this, although Robin is not.
Outstanding....according to WHO??? Oh, Of course the developers. The ones that are promoting and contributing to her campaign. Can you say POINT WELLS PROJECT. How can another 6,000 cars on Richmond Beach Road be good for SHORELINE RESIDENTS??
