The SCC Women's Soccer team ended its Western Region part of its schedule with a 2-1 loss to Bellevue College on Saturday at Bellevue. BC scored in the third minute of game to take an early lead, but SCC scored in the 12th minute on a goal by Sara Gilmore. Gabriella Rodriguez scored her second goal for BC in the 65th minute for the win.
SCC is now 3-3-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the Northern Region and are in a three way tie for 3rd in the region. Only two points separate the top five teams in the region as Edmonds CC and Everett CC are tied for 1st with 12 points and SCC, Green River CC and Whatcom CC are tied for third with 10 points. Skagit Valley College is in last with 0 points.
NWAACC Northern Region play begins this week, with each team playing the other home and away. Games against the Western Region are counted in the standings as mandatory NWAACC crossover games.
SCC plays at Skagit Valley College on Wednesday at 2:00pm in Mt. Vernon, WA.
