Shorewood loses football opener at Everett, 27-7

Shorewood opened its football season Friday with a 27-7 loss to Everett at Everett Memorial Stadium.

Eugene Holley’s third-quarter touchdown, followed by Gage Carroll’s extra-point kick brought the T-birds within 13-7, but the Seagulls scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.

Holley ran for 138 yards.

Shorewood takes its 0-1 Wesco 3A and overall records into its home opener Friday, September 9, at Shoreline Stadium.

Lynnwood also has a 0-1 record after a 56-14 home loss to Glacier Peak at Edmonds Stadium Friday.
