Freshman Sara Gilmore named the SCC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

Sara Gilmore, a freshman from Ballard High School, was named Player of the Week after hitting a penalty kick in the 72nd minute to tie the opening game of the year against Chemeketa CC last Wednesday and she supplied an assist on another goal during that back and forth match. 

The Lady Dolphins had played a see-saw game with CCC and were down by a goal in the later stages of the match until Gilmore was taken down in the box and a PK was called. SCC is 0-1-2 on the season.
