Thanks for the food!
According to the Seattle Humane Society, their recent pet food drive at participating King County Safeway stores brought in nearly 12,000 pounds of pet food.

The food will be distributed to local senior centers, low-income housing complexes, food banks and individual homes. Seattle Humane Society’s Pet Food Bank provides food every month to more than 1,600 pets.

"Thanks to Seattle Humane Society’s Pet Food Bank, more than 1,300 pet owners each month don’t have to choose between feeding their pets and feeding themselves.
"Our mission is bringing people and pets together, and keeping them together. Thank you to Safeway and our community for helping us continue to fulfill our mission."

Both the North City Safeway at 175th and 15th NE and the Aurora Safeway at 155th and Aurora participated in the pet food drive.
