Linda Kraus, Personal Historian
On Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Third Place Commons in Lake Forest Park, Linda Kraus will present "Celebrate Lake Forest Park:Preserving Your Personal History"

Linda Kraus, M.A., Personal Historian of Time Binding Recording Your Story will introduce the audience to various ways of ensuring that personal stories get passed on to future generations.

Launching your own personal history project with yourself or another family member as the subject can be a rewarding experience that will benefit your family, and maybe even the entire community, for many years to come.

Ms. Kraus is an expert at drawing out the important details that make personal history memorable, and she will share ideas and tips on getting started. Linda will pass out a list of "memory-joggers" and audience members will have an opportunity to share some short memories of their own. She'll note some of the health benefits of telling stories and lead the audience in a Lake Forest Park history game.

The program is sponsored by a grant from 4Culture, and is offered at no charge to the public. Space for the program has been kindly provided by Friends of Third Place Commons.
